When on a island, you need to snorkel, right!?! So I booked a day trip with Scuba Dawgs 🙂
The pier and boat…
The sea was ROLLING. The guy in charge was concerned about weather, so he suggested that we do two quick dives and then I could come again on Sunday.

This snorkel trip made me realize two things:
- I really should learn to dive…
- I really would like a better underwater camera.
Then only this is…when you only have the chance to snorkel/dive once in a blue moon it is so hard to justify the cost!
First Stop was the HTMS Chang Wreck
Totally have no idea where the next stop was. I wish the visibility hadn’t been so bad because I saw two Porcupine fish, and a Trigger fish!
The few shots I did take…
Here is a large school of fish…
We might have only snorkeled two spots, BUT I WAS TIRED. **hint hint** I need more exercise lol 😉 As tired as I was, I didn’t want to miss out on dinner at White Sands Beach with my new friend Denise!
My dish was labeled as “Crispy Fish with Green Mango Salad”. This is what it looked like…
Yeah….not really sure where the fish was….it was almost like fish crumbs?? As weird as it was, when mixed with the spicy salad, it tasted delicious!
But the star of the night was the coconut ice cream. I would go back to Nong Bua Seafood just for the ice cream 😉
Since Day 1 was somewhat “eh”, I had really high hopes for Day 2 🙂
But then the skies looked like this…
But there were also views like this…
Visibility was pretty mediocre at all three stops (no idea the names) but here are some pictures…
THE COOLEST PART was squid fishing with one of the crew members 🙂
Look at our bounty! He even caught a fish 🙂
Which we ate 🙂
The worst part was the boat ride home. It rained the whole time which meant meant, I was wet and cold 🙁
So, neither day was amazing, but the crew helped make the experience memorable 🙂 I would absolutely recommend Scuba Dawgs!
Love always, Arianna the Wandering Pipette
