Tuesday night I packed my backpack for the last time as it was time for my European Adventure!
As excited as I was for PART TWO of my adventures, getting to Frankfurt, Germany was quite an ordeal:
- 10 hour overnight bus ride from Bagan to Yangon, Myanmar
- 12 hours in the Yangon Airport
- Hour long flight to Bangkok
- 6 hour layover in Bangkok
- 6 hour flight to Abu Dhabi
- 2 hour layover in Abu Dhabi
- 7 hour flight to Frankfurt
Yeah. I was exhausted.
After landing in Frankfurt, I took the metro/subway to the hotel to me with my Dad, Grace, and Felipe. I hadn’t eaten a decent meal in almost 36 hours so food was a priority. My first meal wasn’t anything exciting, a salad, but the dinner…
now that was something special.
For the first time in two months, I had new clothes, makeup, and perfume, so dinner at The Main Tower was the perfect excuse to clean up 🙂
Not to shabby…
Check out this view!
Now I just needed to fill that wine glass…
Let the dinner begin!
Personally, I felt like we were paying for the view, rather than the quality of the food. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good, but the dishes, though visually impressive, had no boldness or assertion of flavor.
With a fully tummy, and an empty tank of adrenaline, I hit my pillow and fell right asleep!
Tomorrow we explore FRANKFURT!
Love always, Arianna the Wandering Pipette
